Opportunity

VectorOne brought the OcuDoc (formerly Sight4All, LLC) patent from concept to mobile prototype, ensuring it met FDA class 1 device standards and was HIPAA-compliant. This app would reinvent the way that vision testing was done by using the world’s only attachment-free, mobile-based autorefractor and digital cover test.

STRATEGY

The team at VectorOne developed technology to capture images and apply intricate image analysis and complex mathematical algorithms within an intuitive user interface. TESA, the first app of its kind, VectorOne utilized techniques to identify facial features and extract key data captured by the photo sensor. Extra emphasis was put into creating an optimal user experience that also allowed an eye care provider to keep an efficient patient schedule.

VectorOne created a cross-platform mobile application, named TESA, capable of capturing images using the built-in camera, then returning a vision diagnosis in seconds. Its capabilities provide objective feedback to the provider and ultra-definition video captures and measures eye movement, giving the provider a more detailed prescription for the patient.

"The TESA app has revolutionized the digital cover test, a test that hasn't changed in over 125 years, for both patients and providers. Using a traditional autorefractor typically took up to 6 feet of space, was costly and took significant time to operate. The TESA app is available on an iPhone 7+ through the App store and within seconds can change the way eye exams are performed with little cost and increased efficiency. "
