Park National Family of Community Banks, which encompasses 112 banking offices and holds more than $7.3 billion in assets, was recently named #42 on Forbes 100 Best Banks in America and prides itself on service, community and a client-oriented approach. Park engaged VectorOne to help revitalize its intranet, creating an opportunity to deliver lasting value to the organization.
Originally the Intranet was built to service its 2200+ associates with news, resources and other valuable information across the organization, but it needed better functionality and updated tools to help it better connect its employees. With Park's ongoing success, strategic steps toward increasing employee engagement and satisfaction were going to go a long way to keep them on the track to future growth and accolades.
STRATEGY
VectorOne and Stream Digital delivered an intranet assessment through conducting business analysis and research. The team studied user behaviors and needs throughout the different parts the company. High value features were identified that would make the intranet a valuable tool for all associates. A new user experience was designed to deliver high value information effectively while still promoting the culture that makes Park a special place to work.
VectorOne developed a custom SharePoint theme and leveraged JavaScript and .NET, combining native SharePoint tools with tailored development strategies. The project work involved cross-team collaboration, end-user training, and hands-on coaching to ensure a smooth rollout and long-term adoption.
